10 things you should know about
Residential
Housekeeping
Services

5.  Do you have to be at home when you are expecting housekeeping services?

This is a decision that only you can make.  Some people feel very comfortable with staff in their units even if they are not present, while others prefer to be there at all times when someone from our staff enters their apartments.

6.  How do you know if someone has the right to enter your apartment when you are not at home?

Each time a new resident joins us, they receive a variety of papers and among them is letter entitled “Permission to Enter Agreement” You can indicate on this letter if you would like staff to enter your residence when you are not at home.  A copy of this letter is kept on file at all times so that staff will be aware of your wishes regarding entry into your unit.

7.  Will you have a different housekeeper each week?

Unlike hotels and time shares, Carlsbad by the Sea is your home.  This means that we endeavor to do as much as we can to ensure that you feel as comfortable as possible.  One of the ways that we do that is by assigning you a permanent housekeeper.  You can be assured that this person will be regularly cleaning your residence and therefore you will have the opportunity to build a rapport with  them and to rely on the  fact that theirs will be the face you will see consistently, week after week.  Of course, from time to time there may be slight changes in your staff due to sickness or vacation time, but we will do our best to keep your schedule as regular as possible.  In addition, if there are any changes, we will be sure to notify you.

8.  Why do you have difficulty changing your day for cleaning?

As you may realize, being a part of a larger community such as ours means that any changes, even small ones, have an effect on everyone.  In order to efficiently and thoroughly clean all 146 apartments each week, each housekeeper has a specific schedule that he or she must follow to ensure that no residence is overlooked. Therefore, if you regularly ask for a change in your cleaning schedule, it in turn affects all the other residents scheduled for cleaning services that day.  We realize that certain circumstances may require a change, and we will certainly accommodate that, but normally we endeavor to keep the alterations to the schedule to a minimum.  This assures that each resident here at CBTS will get the best possible housekeeping services.
